I’m starting to put up some of my work along with what i call my scribbles of how i begin a project. I never go to mouse before paper as I like to say. So you will get a little insight of how I begin. You may be amazed at just a few lines or words that help me get to the end results or you may be wondering what the heck does this all mean.

Designers need starting points. Yes, I agree we are Brilliant and Talented but not Magicians. In order to quote acurately, stay on track and get the ball rolling, you can start by answering a few questions like these for your designer.
• When is the job due?
• What are the size requirements?
• What are the file formats you or your printer may require?
• What media will this design be used? (print) (web) etc.
• What is the message you want your design to say?
• What colors do you like?

1. Think analytically. A brand should provide something that warrants attention on a consistent basis, something your audience wants and is not getting from your competitors.
2. Maintain your brand. One rule of thumb is that when you start to become tired of your logo, tagline, and branding efforts, that’s most likely when they are sinking in with customers.

Recently, I’ve been asked to do many banner ads for clients. Usually this entails a graphic of sorts, headline, tagline and contact information. I advise keeping these short uncluttered and to the point.
